Broaden Your Reach and Gain a Competitive Advantage.
It's FREE to Post a Profile.
IDPN is a niche site created around the most often searched term for wedding photography and we want you to benefit.
Affordable does not mean cheap! Many of the photographers embracing our platform have low overhead, no additional staff or expensive studio space-but what they do have, is talent!
By maintaining a low operating cost this provides them with a competitive advantage with regard to pricing. It goes without saying, but we all know that brides want quality and affordability at the same time. But, until now, they haven’t had a place to “shop” for these select photographers efficiently. Likewise, photographers have not had many viable options to advertise their affordable niche, in a way sensitive to their brand, either.
We created IDPN to bring together wedding couples looking for affordable wedding photographers, with photographers looking to broaden their marketing reach efficiently and effectively.
FAQ's
Is this really free? What’s the catch?

Why "affordable”? Can’t this undermine my brand?
Marketing yourself as an affordable professional can be great way to reach out to an underserved and under-targeted market. And, this doesn’t mean you have to forgo targeting the more affluent-you are simply expanding and broadening your overall marketing reach by doing so. Let’s face it—we know that a lot of couples are looking for quality on a budget. They’re looking for experienced, talented photographers whose prices within reach- but, these photographers are hard to find and it’s precisely why we created this site.
We are a listing service for independent businesses, so you set your own prices and policies. That being said, if you consider yourself in the “high end” of the industry, this site is probably not for you. If you want to set your own prices and capitalize on the most searched phrase, “affordable wedding photographers”, we could be a good fit for each other.
Are you a work-for-hire agency?
No way! We’re proud to say that all of our photographers are independent businesses that operate under their own brands, and set their own prices and policies. IDPN is a listing service intended to help couples find great, affordable photographers.
How do I sign up?
It’s free-no gimmicks, no strings, and it only takes about three minutes. We make our money strictly from banner ads from our sponsors.
Can I list in multiple states?
Yes. But you’ll need to establish multiple profiles by signing up each time with differing profile data.
What do I get with sign up?
A searchable profile page which can include your business logo, an overview about you, an image portfolio gallery, and an optional packages and pricing page.
Instant SEO and link-backs to your main webpage. We command organic first page search results! IDPN ranks first page with Google searches relating to affordable wedding photographers in areas across the country—couples find our page and the link-backs strengthen your business website’s SEO.
An option for users to rate your service.
Can anyone sign up?
Sure, but do know that we screen for objectionable and sub-par content. We reserve the right to refuse and cancel anyone per our discretion.
How many images can and should I include in my sample gallery?
We require that our members include no less than 5 high-resolution images in their sample galleries—any less wouldn’t be enough for our couples to see the diversity of your work and we feel will undermine the overall credibility of our site. That being said, you can, and we encourage you to do so, upload as many as twenty.
How can I have my most recent wedding or work featured on your blog and/or Facebook and Pinterest?
We are continually taking submissions from our member photographers and absolutely love to do featured wedding blog posts and share “best of IDPN” photos on our social media channels, and we’ll obviously include all your info and links to your websites and pages. Just email our blogger, Amanda, at amanda@idophotonet.com for more information.
On the site, what’s a “featured photographer”?
On a month-to-month basis, we feature a handful of IDPN photographers on the first search page. To be a featured photographer, your profile must have more than the required 5 images in the sample gallery and the profile in general must really stand out and shine. To inquire further regarding pricing and policy, email us.
Will my profile appear on the first page?
Sometimes. The photographer profiles appear randomly on each page each time one’s browser revisits or is refreshed.
Can I pay to get a preferred listing in my region?
Nope. But we may add this option in the future.
How do couples contact me?
A contact form is available on each photographer’s profile page. But, you can also list your direct contact information on your IDPN profile along with links to your website. So, couples can reach out to you through the IDPN site or directly through your provided information and website/social media. We endeavor to drive more traffic to your business page, so many of our couples, having arrived at your website through your IDPN profile, may reach out to you outside of the IDPN platform.
Can photographers place banner ads on the site?
No. We try to keep sponsorships within the wedding and photography industries, but not from photographers.
Do I manage the content on my own profile page?
Yes. You manage the information on your profile and are free to make changes to your profile information and sample gallery images at your discretion and convenience. Moderators review profiles prior to going live to ensure appropriate content in keeping with IDPN’s standards.
Do some photographers collaborate with DIY inspired couples regarding shared image rights?
Yes. But, do know that our photographers are independent photographers and so each one has their own unique prices and policies. Some include this information in their overview or pricing, and some do not. These photographers are friendly to the notion of shared image rights, and as such are open to transfer post-production tasks (such as editing, album design, and print ordering) over to the couple and as a result are afforded greater pricing-flexibility for their services. Our DIY Resource Library and Blog have loads of information and tutorials to help guide and inspire even novice couples with creative projects like editing and ordering.
Brand Protection (For Collaborative DIY arrangements): How do we protect our brand if we are sharing rights to digital files?
This is a big issue for most professional photographers. To help, IDPN provides very specific language to protect the photographer in the optional photographer-couple contract found on each photographer profile page, and made available to couples in the Registration Agreement, FAQ and Information pages - we go a long way to address the issue. The language states that couples must not credit or reference the photographer without the photographer's express permission any time after receiving the images, both after they edit and even if the images remain unedited. We are careful to explain that even unedited images "straight from the camera" are still not typically in keeping with the final quality of edited work that photographers choose to represent their unique style and brand. In addition to this information, couples who register are agreeing to the same by accepting the Registration Agreement terms. We also recommend highly that you communicate this verbally as a condition when booking with your DIY couples. WE ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU ALWAYS DO A QUICK "OUT-TAKES" EDIT BEFORE HANDING OVER THE IMAGES TO YOUR CLIENTS. AS PROFESSIONALS, WE WANT ONLY OUR BEST WORK TO BE MADE AVAILABLE TO CLIENTS EVEN IN SHOOT AND MOVE ON SCENARIOS.
Can you elaborate on the sample couple/photographer contract?
The sample contract on every photographer profile is provided as a courtesy to our Member Photographers. Please use at your own discretion and feel free to copy and paste elements into your own contract as desired. It was also put there to give couples an overview of items to expect with regard to a contract.
IDPN will not have any direct involvement with the photographers or couples.
How can I contact IDPN?
