Organizing Your Images
Your files are all backed up. You are ready to start retouching and potentially ordering products like albums and thank you cards. But there's one step that will help you as you go forward- taking the time to organize your files. This will make it easier to find specific images easier, keep track of your edits, and prevent you from losing images along the way.
The organization process also involves making decisions about the images that you want to keep for products like wall prints, cards and albums, and images that you just want to store in your archives. Depending on what your photographer has given you, you may also need to remove out of focus or poorly exposed images (images that are too dark or too light). Professional photographers refer to this process as “culling” your images. We'll show you a couple software options to help you do this.
